Why Use Woodpecker Insurance…
We are independent, licensed insurance agents.
At Woodpecker Insurance, we represent multiple carriers, giving us the flexibility to find the best plan for you. We represent Medicare Supplement Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Navigating the complex world of Medicare and health insurance is our specialty, and we’ve seen (and handled) just about everything.
Because we work independently, our experience and knowledge focus on your needs. We’ll help you choose the right plan based on your priorities, and we’re here for you after enrollment, too. We’ll answer questions, help with coverage issues, help with file appeals, and alert you if your options change.
With our in-depth knowledge of each provider, we can streamline your application process, saving you time and effort. Let us handle the details, so you can focus on what really matters.
We know what you’re thinking…How do we get paid?
We are compensated through a commission paid by the insurance companies we represent, and this commission is already included in the cost of your Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare Supplement Plan, or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. The rate you pay for your plan is exactly the same whether or not you choose to work with us.
If you decide to enroll directly with the insurance carrier, they simply keep that commission for themselves—there’s no discount or savings for you.
But by choosing to work with us, you get personalized service at no extra cost. Plus, you’ll continue to enjoy all the additional benefits that come with our support, ensuring you have the guidance and care you need every step of the way.
How are we trained and certified?
As independent health insurance brokers, we are committed to providing expert guidance and support to our clients. In order to represent Medicare insurance companies and offer essential assistance, we are required to complete extensive training and certification in accordance with state and federal regulations.
The steps we are required to follow to ensure we are fully qualified to assist you include:
- Completing pre-licensure education in accordance with state law
- Passing the state licensing exam
- Applying for and obtaining a license through the National Insurance Producer Registry
- Completing annual AHIP Medicare certification
- Purchasing errors and omissions coverage as mandated by law
- Completing annual carrier Medicare certifications for each carrier we represent
- Maintaining Continuing Education requirements for our Health Insurance License
We are licensed, certified insurance agents in New Hampshire, fully prepared to answer your questions and assist with the Medicare application process—all at no cost or obligation to you.
From our nest to yours, we are here to support you every step of the way at Woodpecker Insurance.
